We are delighted to return with the next instalment of our specialised menswear auction, The Male Sale.

We are excited to present the largest collection of Carol Christian Poell ever offered at auction. Spanning 76 lots from 2005 to 2010, it offers rare insight into the enigmatic label, with pieces from key collections including Disjointed and '00 Off-Scene, plus artisanal works with titanium prosthetic inserts and hand-pressed leather zips that rival haute couture workmanship.

This avant-garde spirit extends to cult labels including MA+, Carpe Diem, Number (N)ine, Augusta and Diciannoveventitre (A1923). The selection spans tailoring, leather, footwear and accessories from distinctive, elusive brands still overlooked in even the most esoteric fashion circles. If you know, you know.

Paul Harnden, another cult favourite, is represented by full ensembles, jackets, footwear and accessories. His nostalgic menswear vision centres on quality, simplicity and understated ruggedness, attracting a loyal international following that includes John Galliano.

The sale also features important early works from Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood's legendary Seditionaries boutique, including iconic printed muslins, rare trousers and T-shirts from a defining moment in fashion history.

Furthermore, the auction includes the largest selection of Antony Price menswear ever offered. Long ahead of his time, Price influenced Jean Paul Gaultier, Mugler, Versace, Vivienne Westwood and others. Gifted directly by the designer, many pieces are unique colourways, with several from key collections including the 1983 and 1984 Fashion Extravaganzas, hour-long spectacles blending fashion, music and showmanship.

There are also a number of celebrity-owned pieces. Perhaps the most spectacular celebrity-worn garment is Bunny Rogers' beaded catsuit ensemble from The Amethyst Ball of 1981. Neil "Bunny" Rogers, the British couturier who popularised the Capri pant, was famed for his wit and style. Worn at his seventieth birthday celebration, the purple beaded catsuit and dramatic feathered headdress made him the living embodiment of the evening's theme: exuberance and individuality.

The auction concludes with an important green silk tailcoat dating to circa 1795, likely worn by an Incroyable. With its high collar and broad lapels, it evokes the extravagance that followed Robespierre's fall in 1794, when oversized coats, elaborate cravats and tightly cut trousers signalled wealth and a rejection of revolutionary uniformity. Offered in excellent condition and retaining its original linings, this extraordinary survival provides a vivid glimpse into one of the most flamboyant moments in the history of menswear.
