All set! Our specialists will be in touch with a provisional valuation
You can submit an item for valuation by sending us images here. All valuations are subject to inspection. Once a provisional valuation has been given, you can make an appointment to bring it in to our saleroom in London. If you are abroad or unable to visit in person, you may post the item to us once we have confirmed it is suitable for inclusion at auction. Please contact us directly if you have a private collection you wish to discuss that may require a home visit from our Specialist. Our auction estimates are offered free of charge and without any obligation to give you the knowledge you need when deciding to sell.
We hold approximately five auctions per annum. Sales take place at our premises in London, and are accessible via the internet to our international network of clients. Please contact us directly for more information on upcoming auctions.
If you have attended an appointment in person with our Specialist, you will be provided with a contract to sign which clearly states the estimate, reserve, and auction details. If you are simply leaving the item with us pending valuation, you will be given a receipt.
If you have posted the item to us via a courier service of your choice, we will notify you by e-mail upon arrival. Please ensure to include full contact details within the package. Once your item has been examined and catalogued, you will be e-mailed a contract to sign. Please do not send us items without submitting them for a provisional valuation first
Our attentive team will be happy to advise you regarding the logistics for both domestic and international collections. Home visits can be arranged for larger high value consignments. Please contact us directly for further information.
Our standard commission is 15% plus 1% insurance, which may be negotiable for larger, high value collections.
A £20 website illustration fee is charged per lot (not per item)
VAT is applicable on all charges at the current rate
We do not charge unsold fees if your item is unsold at our mutually agreed estimate and reserve.
If you wish to withdraw your property for sale after the contract has been signed, then the following charges apply: 100% of the seller’s commission (15%) plus buyer’s premium (25%) for the mid-estimate of each item listed on your contract, plus the £20 per lot website illustration fee.
In advance of the auction, you will receive a ‘Pre-Sale Advice’ e-mail which will detail your item’s lot number/s and sale information.
Shortly after the auction you will receive a Results of Sale notification via email outlining each of your lots and the hammer price of each item. If you would like to know the outcome on the day, the sale can be viewed live via Invaluable and the auction results will be visible on our website here.
