About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented photographer to work with some of the finest fashion pieces in the world—from contemporary couture to 18th-century ballgowns and beyond. You will collaborate closely with our cataloguing team to ensure garments are accurately mounted and photographed for auction catalogues, capturing every essential detail, label, and angle.
While the role is primarily London-based, there may be opportunities to travel for our international auctions.
Key Responsibilities
- Photograph garments for auction catalogues, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Work with the cataloguing team to mount mannequins and style ensembles correctly.
- Capture all critical details, including labels, construction, and unique features.
- Maintain consistent lighting and image quality across catalogues.
- Edit and retouch images to ensure professional presentation and uniformity.
- Make last-minute edits or additions as required to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Strong experience in e-commerce photography, ideally product/mannequin-focused.
- Overseeing mounting and styling of mannequins, ideally with some knowledge/interest in historical dress
- Excellent eye for lighting and styling to highlight garment details.
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
- Skilled in image editing and retouching for consistency across products.
- Flexible approach to on-site shooting (editing can be done remotely).
